LOTUS SUMATRA HOUSE TOUR

Mary:

What's going on, guys? I'm back with another house tour video. I know the other one actually did really well. I really enjoyed it, so I'm taking you through another one. This house is in the neighborhood of Lotus in Boca Raton. It is called Sumatra. It has five bedrooms and six bathrooms. I cannot wait to show you everything. It is absolutely gorgeous. I might want to buy it. Let's get started.

Mary:

Starting off, this house is sitting at just under 5,000 square feet under air at 4,875. It is absolutely gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous. We're going to start off right from the front door.

Mary:

This is a beautiful barn door. I absolutely love this feature. It is just amazing. And this office is huge, just absolutely huge. You have plenty of space to sit down. This actually looks like a double workstation. You can have yourself, a colleague, whichever, or you just have a gigantic desk all to yourself. It is just perfect. And window views, so you get tons of natural light in this room. It is very, very open. I can imagine this being a perfect workspace so you can really, really get some ideas going and great motivation.

Mary:

All right, and leaving the office to the right is the one-car garage. It has a three-car garage, so this one is just the one and two-car garage is on the other side. As you come out, you see the beautiful staircase going up, and you have to check out these chandeliers. Oh my gosh, this light fixture, absolutely super, super contemporary. This whole neighborhood is very contemporary. I think I really, really enjoy a lot of the clean lines, but nothing that's a little bit too traditional. It's really great.

Mary:

Next over here we have the formal dining room. You can just see the... I love this. It looks almost like a crystal background, like little mini bricks. I love it. The wood here adds really, really nice accent feature against all of the white, so a really great contrast.

Mary:

Has plenty of space for an eight-person or bigger dining room table. If you choose to, you can have this wall as a wine rack or another mirror, really whatever you want to use the feature wall for. So again, very, very open. I love how bright it really is.

Mary:

Opposite the formal dining room, we have a hallway. It's got your little powder room right here, just really simple, toilet, gorgeous sink and everything, really nice features. I think if I were to purchase a house like this, this is a feature that I would really look forward to, is a good-sized laundry room. You have a ton of counter space, a great little sink, like a basin for washing a lot of your hand washables, a little bit more delicates, full-size washer and dryer, really, really great, and tons of cabinet space for storing really anything you could think about. A space like this is a must for a house this size. And right over here, we have access to the other garage, this is the two-car garage, and then just an AC unit in here.

Mary:

And the big wow right here: the kitchen and living room setup. This room is so open. I absolutely love this. The layout is so clean and so bright. It makes you just feel so roomy as well. The countertops are really nice and... A nice and white marble with really great contrast with the light wood and some of the features here. And I do actually like that it has enough space for a taller refrigerator, just in case you decide to have a big one.

Mary:

Cool feature with these that I really, really like, the doors just have a soft open hand and, short people, a nice, soft close. These are really great so you don't have to worry about reaching up. It's just a different feature. I think those are really nice. Great view, nice little dining room table, the regular kind of dining room table, kitchen table. Breakfast nook, if you will, opening up to a really great view of your gorgeous pool where you got your little sunbathing area, grill, tons of space for seating.

Mary:

Just so, so open and bright. I just love this room. The living room has a ton of seating space and a nice little bar. Personally, I would probably put my coffee station right there.

Mary:

All right, and here we have the master suite. Yes, it is on the first floor, but it has an amazing layout. Absolutely gorgeous features. I love the ceiling and this chandelier here. Really great new light fixtures. And you do get a really great view of the balcony. I'm sorry, the outside.

Mary:

All right. Down here, we have the hallway for the closets. You have the female, or the her, closet here. I love it with the full-length mirror. You got a wall for all of her shoes, tons of hanging space. I really, really like that.

Mary:

Here, you have the his closet. I really like the frosted glass over this so you don't actually see through. It kind of keeps it a little bit concealed, a little private. And again, tons of hanging space and lots of shoe space for his shoes.

Mary:

All right. I think probably one of my favorite features in this room, the bathroom. The standup shower is absolutely amazing. I think it's the perfect size with lots of different shower heads and controls so you can get a really, really good wash. And the size of this tub is just phenomenal. I really love that and that they added this little [inaudible 00:07:37], too.

Mary:

But they do have the his and her sinks, or counters really, with the vanity as well. I think that's a great feature for us ladies who want to be able to sit down and do our makeup right here. And of course, water closet so you can do your business in private.

Mary:

All right, so now we're on the second floor. This is where the rest of the bedrooms are. The master's on the first floor, so this is where the rest of the bedrooms are.

Mary:

I think what I really want to show you first is this. This is the theater room. I absolutely love the barn doors. They have stoppers. It's really, really great.

Mary:

What's really cool about this room, it's huge. It has a lot of space for a lot of people, and you can actually black out the window with blackout curtains. So when you actually are filming or viewing something, you can close that off.

Mary:

All right, so this is the home theater. It is just great in here. It has a ton of space and just so much seating available. How is this not perfect for a movie room? They have a bunch of what looks like posters of some of your favorite comic books.

Mary:

Okay, so this is one of the first bedrooms upstairs. It does have its own private balcony, which is really nice. I would consider this a guest suite. Nice size, great views. A full-size, walk-in closet. This is bigger than my closet at home, so this is great. Linen pantry here and your en-suite bathroom. On to our next room.

Mary:

This one's really cute. I think it's adorable how they staged it. It's a little girl's room, so you've got your ballerina barre, lots of pink. Very open. No balcony in this one, but another view of the back of the house. Another full-size, walk-in closet. This is great for a little kid. This would be more than enough. More than enough. And again, another en-suite bathroom. Again, super cute. I love how these houses have a really great theme. And your own little linen closet.

Mary:

This is another one of the bedrooms upstairs. I love how they staged this one. It's a little boy's room, so you have a lot of the... It's very Batman and DC Comics-driven. Well really, a little bit of everything, actually, Marvel and DC. I just love it.

Mary:

I love the green, too. I think it's a pretty great feature. Again, another full-sized closet, walk-in closet, and en-suite bathroom with a tub. This definitely tells you this could be a perfect bathroom for a kid. Absolutely. Lots of fun.

Mary:

All right. And here, we have the upstairs pajama lounge. What's a feature that I really like is this brick wall here, really great accent walls on this one and that one over there. Just great. This is a very kid-driven upstairs: lots of fun, lots of art, lots of color up here, lots of pop. The desk here can absolutely be used as a student desk, so they can set up their homework here with their siblings or their friends and just have a lot of fun.

Mary:

Over here, we have an upstairs gym. They staged this one as a gym. I think it's really cool. They have wood on the walls as well as on the floor. This entire wall here is a mirror, so you can see yourself while you're working out, while you're doing this water rower or the bike. They have a little set of dumbbells around. I think this is a really cool-feeling room. You can add and make it really whatever you wanted, but I really like how they staged this one.

Mary:

Right next to it, we have another bathroom. It's not an en-suite, but it's just another bathroom for anyone to use off the pajama lounge or for the home theater that they have. Full bathroom, tub and everything.

Mary:
